FULL MOON MAY 2020

FULL MOON IN VISHAKHA NAKSHATRA MAY 7, 2020 @6:46am EST

Vishakha is the Star of Purpose and can be understood best by envisioning a large tree with wide branches providing protection for others.  Indra, the God of transformation and Agni, the God of fire, reflect the power and strength of this Nakshatra.  The expansive energy of Jupiter rules over this constellation and brings enthusiasm, faith and hope for the future.  This Nakshatra is all about obtaining the fruit of the harvest, similar to Lughnasa energy that we feel in the month August.

Fire is associated with the direction of the South and we are currently experiencing a Sacred Pause as we cross the threshold of Beltane, on the ancient wheel of the year.  which is located in the South.  Fire is symbolized by passion, creativity, courage and transformation.  Fire is what purifies us from Winter and is the growing power to the Sun.  The South is also associated with the ovulation stage of a woman’s moon cycle and the Mother aspect of the Triple Goddess, it’s just oozing with cosmic creative energy.  So to have Indra (transformation) and Agni (fire) infusing us with their energy on this Full Moon during Beltane feels delightfully auspicious to me. We will not escape the transformation that lies ahead.

On January 10th, 2020 we had a Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Gemini which set the gears in motion for all that we are experiencing right now.  Eclipses bring  things out into the open, they reveal shadows and they run in 6 month cycles.  We can all see the shadows being exposed at the moment and the censorship happening to those trying to bring us factual information.  That means we will see some shifts come June/July.  We also will experience 3 eclipses in a one month period.  June 5, 2020 Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio, June 21, 2020 Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse in Gemini, July 5th, 2020 Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius.  Whoa!   I will write more about this in my next blog as it will be lots of information.

Another important cosmic occurrence for the coming months is the Venus Transit/Retrograde in Taurus which I wrote briefly about in the last blog.  Her journey in Taurus started on March 28, 2020 and will commence August 1, 2020.  She will retrograde in Taurus May 13th, 2020- June 25th, 2020.  Venus retrogrades about 41-42 days every 18months.  She represents relationships, beauty, creativity and the arts.  When a planet retrogrades it appears to move backwards and stays in a particular sign longer than usual.  This typically signifies that the planet wants us to change something within the particular house that it is retrograding in.  I will include the houses that will be affected for each Ascendant (rising sign) below.  You will need to know your rising sign to understand.

These are the Ascendants and houses that will be affected during the retrograde Venus transit in Taurus and what they symbolize. Be prepared for changes in the way you are seen by others, how you love, earn money, and assert yourself.  Creative projects may even take a different turn.  Harmony and love can become heated and situations may need to be approached with more compassion and understanding. Try your best to go with the Flow and ask yourself if it may be a better idea to just not address certain things. This can serve as a nice reflection before the coming retrograde.  For example:  A person with Aries Ascendant will be focused on the issues that deal with the 2nd house like: money, family life, food and speech.

Ascendant

-Aries - Venus in 2nd house highlighting money, family life, food and speech.

-Taurus - Venus in 1st house highlighting appearance, health, constitution and personality.

-Gemini - Venus in 12th house highlighting spiritual practice, liberation, enlightenment, secret enemies, foreign travel, debt, confinement.

-Cancer - Venus in 11th house highlighting profits, rewards, gains, awards, older siblings.

-Leo - Venus in 10th house highlighting career, life purpose, status, public recognition, reputation.

-Virgo - Venus in 9th house highlighting the father, teacher (guru), philosophy, religion, higher learning, dharma, opportunity, good luck, yogic practices.

- Libra - Venus in 8th house highlighting  life and death cycle, transformation, occult mysteries, research, accidents, inheritance.

-Scorpio - Venus in 7th house highlighting marriage partners, business partners, contracts, passion.

-Sagittarius - Venus in 6th house highlighting known enemies, work, competition, legal issues, obstacles, illness.

-Capricorn - Venus in 5th house highlighting children, romance, investments, speculation and yogic practices.

-Aquarius - Venus in 4th house highlighting the mother, education, happiness, real estate, vehicles and liquid assets.

-Pisces - Venus in 3rd house highlighting siblings, fine arts, courage, desires and writing.

That’s all for now.  Wishing you a fun, creative and and celebratory Moon Cycle ahead. OM HREEM SHUKRAYA NAMAH.

Love

Danielle
