Last year I offered this incense around the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn on the Winter Solstice that is believed to be the Star of Bethlehem, the one the 3 wise men followed to the baby Jesus. It is my personal incense that I burn and fits perfectly with the season. Now that we are in the Advent season I am releasing this again to carry us through the darkness and the Holy nights of Christmas. Read below for some astrological details of this significance.

There are certain conjunctions and transits that only happen very rarely, this particular one was 800yrs since Saturn and Jupiter had been in Capricorn together. Many times when planetary conjunctions are literally on top of one another they present as one star. This was the case with the Star of Bethlehem and just recently. Growing up Irish Catholic the 3 Kings/Epiphany/Little Christmas/Woman’s Christmas were a yearly celebration on January 6th. Woman’s Christmas (Nollaig na mBan) is a time for woman to gather and be celebrated for all the hard work they did with the holiday festivities and for being the backbone of the family. This is the 12 days of Christmas commencing on this day. This year is the first year since I’ve been alive (43yrs) that my mother won’t be hosting a gathering for all her female friends and family (which for the last 10yrs has been a 3 day event😆), there are usually about 50 women and they have a good ol time, carrying on til the wee hours of the morning, lol!!! This is also the day we take our tree down.

The Epiphany/3 Kings is the same day and it celebrates the manifestation of “The Christ” on Earth. This is the day that the 3 Wiseman arrived in Bethlehem at the stable of Jesus Christ to offer him Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. The most regal gifts of all! It is also a day to acknowledge Jesus’s baptism by John the Baptist which signified “The Christ” entering the physical body of Jesus and the start of his ministry in Capernaum, Israel, which was only 3 short years. I had the privilege of visiting these physical places in Israel/Jordan where these events occurred while on a solo month long pilgrimage in October 2010, observing Mauna (silence) for the duration. It was life changing, I still don’t have many words, these experiences diminish with words anyway. I received in meditation one day that my father needed me back home, he was getting ready to die…it shook me to the core even though he had been sick it wasn’t supposed to be that fast moving. That tug of knowing, of being in communion with the etheric plane. It was an incredibly enlightening time in my life and also incredibly sad. Here I was feeling like I was in full samadhi and my father was being met at the Gates! On January 6th hospice arrived and my dad began his week long transition to the otherworld and I feel blessed to be a witness and a servant at that time. One of the most humbling experiences of my life.

I was initiated into the mysteries of the Christ, not the Jesus I grew up with but the, for lack of a better word, true Christ. The one who was in harmony with, and an expression of, the cosmos, as Rudolf Steiner put it. Each step taken by Christ during his ministry, Baptism and Resurrection was reflected in the stars. This was the only time The Christ has manifested in a physical body on the earth plane. There were many avatars assisting this and the lines of reincarnation are fascinating from all different cultures but that’s another story all together! The 2nd coming, according to anthroposophy, will be in the etheric, not the physical plane.

The wise men we know were astrologers that followed the movement of the stars and what that meant. They are the last representatives of the true star wisdom of antiquity. They were awaiting this King to be born and they knew he had descended to Earth when that star appeared. These 3 Kings would have followed the Sidereal (Vedic star system) Zodiac to determine this arrival as it is astronomy based. In other words, following the actual location of stars in the sky. This is also the zodiac that Biodynamics follows and was what the ancient Babylonians and Indians followed. The reason it is referred to as Vedic is because India was the only ancient civilization that wasn’t influenced by Ptolemy . Another thing to always consider in these stories is the symbolism and numerology. For example it took them 12 days to reach Bethlehem…there are 12 signs in the Zodiac, etc.

May you live into this Magic and may these ancient stories provide a blueprint for you and a desire within to “be like The Christ”, as Neem Karoli Baba would say to Krishna Das when he asked what he could do to be more spiritual and closer to God. I have probably heard him tell this story 100 times, right before he begins “ I’ve got Jesus on that mainline tell him what you want…you can call him up and tell him what you want!”
