Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis), like Chamomile, have always had a childlike Spirit to them imo! Perhaps because they both invoke the Sun deities🌞. I have interchanged this formula depending on which fresh herb I have most abundantly. The Biodynamic Lemon Balm was robust & thrived in the garden this year so I felt called to use that.🤩🌿 You can see it side by side with the Motherwort…I remember thinking how perfect, Mama Medicine and Child Medicine growing together side by side…so symbolic 🤩.

Lemon Balm is a calming nervine, (bedtime) it’s anti-microbial, anti viral, anti spasmodic (tummy ache) and anti-histaminic. I use nightly before story time for both children to help their transition to bedtime, if they have a tummy ache or any digestive issues, I use for my sons allergies and I also add it into cold and flu formulas for them. It’s a must have in the family medicine cabinet!

Lemon Balm is an herb of Fire and the Sun, metaphysically it attracts what we need, it’s an antidote for winter blues, it increases vitality, aids self esteem and brings sunlight into the body!
